Every October, the world unites to observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month—a movement dedicated to education, prevention, and support for those affected by breast cancer. Why Breast Cancer Awareness Month Matters

Breast cancer is not only the most common cancer among women worldwide—it’s also the most common cancer among women in Hong Kong. According to Hong Kong’s Centre for Health Protection, 5,182 new cases of female breast cancer were diagnosed in 2022, accounting for 28.6% of all cancers in women【source: chp.gov.hk】.

Who We’re Supporting: The Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation

Founded in 2005, the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation (HKBCF) is dedicated to reducing the threat of breast cancer to local women through three main pillars:
