Kinesiology tape is a thin, stretchy cotton strip with an acrylic adhesive. It supports muscles and joints without restricting movement — the key difference from rigid strapping tape, which locks a joint down. Kinesiology tape moves with you.
It’s also called K Tape, KT tape, kinesio tape, or elastic therapeutic tape. These all describe the same type of product.

Research is mixed. Some studies show pain-relief benefits similar to placebo; others find real improvements in proprioception and movement confidence. What’s consistent is that athletes report feeling more supported and more willing to move normally while taped.
Our honest position: K Tape is a support tool, not a treatment. It works best alongside proper rehab and professional guidance, not instead of them.
Two to three days for normal use, one to two with heavy water exposure. Replace it once it loses elasticity or the edges lift. Each roll is single-use.
Avoid open wounds, broken or irritated skin, and areas with active infection. Patch test if your skin is very sensitive. Don’t tape to push through sharp pain or heavy swelling from a fresh injury — rest, ice, compression and elevation come first, then see a physio.
