When Shared Standards Meet on the Field: Touch Rugby Singapore vs Hong Kong

Competition Rooted in Respect

Every so often, the values that drive sport — preparation, teamwork, and respect — take center stage in a single game. That was the case when two of Pillar Sports’ Touch Rugby partners, Touch Singapore and Touch Hong Kong, met in this year’s Singapore vs Hong Kong Test Series.

This matchup was a meeting of two programs that share the same standards of performance, both powered by Pillar Sports, and both representing how far Touch Rugby in Asia has evolved.

Touch Rugby Singapore vs Hong Kong

The 2025 Singapore vs Hong Kong Test Series brought together some of the best players in Asia’s Touch Rugby scene. The competition was close across all categories, but Singapore came out on top in the Men’s Open, winning 9–6 over Hong Kong.

Each test reflected the strength and discipline of both teams — years of development, coaching, and grassroots programs that have helped shape the region’s reputation in Asia Touch Rugby.

“Coming off a year from the Touch World Cup, the Singapore Touch Community was very excited to welcome Hong Kong to our shores again for an official test series after their last visit 2 years ago. With close ties between the nations, every match was highly competitive and contested. In a transition year, many players made their international debuts for Singapore which is always fantastic to see and even more symbolic on home soil.

With multiple divisions contested, it demonstrates the depth of the sport in both nations which bodes well for the future and for TWC 2028. On a personal note, I made a return to Opens and was glad to be able to contribute at my age! Overall, it’s a positive successful result and we looking forward to many more collaborations and competitions with our Hong Kong friends in the near future.”
